"Sort of like Bird," Casey argued.
But in the end, we decided it would be best to release Duke, so we found a little pond for him and said a quick, but teary, goodbye.
Someday, we will adopt another turtle to live in our terrarium and, if we remember, we'll name him Duke II, in memory of our little North Carolina buddy.
Well, if everything goes smoothly, tomorrow should be our last day here. We don't really know what the current condition of the van is, but we are trusting that the guys at the repair place are sticking to their original schedule.
Otherwise, we will be camping in their parking lot.
Hopefully the idea of a (very) pregnant girl and three large dogs hanging around outside of their shop will provide enough incentive for them to get the work done in a timely fashion.
We'll see.

WoW, That turtle was really tiny. I was thinking it was bigger. FYI Tim and I have decided we'll be leaving SF on June 28th. We'll be back to the east coast for a wedding July 5th and will hopefully have time to come up and see you b/t the 6th-12th. Then it's to Martha's Vineyard w/my family and going up straight to Canada. Toronto here we come!!!
