18 months!

Ilea turned 18 months old! She is in her language explosion, trying to say everything she hears. She never went through a stranger anxiety phase and loves to hug and hang out with everyone. I fully intend to catch up on all of the blogging I have missed but for now I want to make sure that I posted this picture because I love it. More to come...

Water kids

Family basketball

Ilea refused to hold the little basketball for the picture and Orin refused to smile,
but I still love this picture.

Thanks for cooperating Casey, at least I can count on you!

Fireworks

Getting ready on the jetty...

Waiting patiently

The show was amazing, the wind blowing them right over our heads

And the one that landed still burning!

Monday morning avocado face

Oh why do I insist on giving ilea her bath before breakfast? Part of being passionate about avocados means that you have to make your arms into windshield wipers and create a green smear. And now we are off for bath number 2...

Exciting News!

I have just discovered a way to post to the blog directly from my phone.
This could mean the end to my blog neglect.
This could mean that Ilea's childhood will not continue to go undocumented.
This could mean that with a quick click of my camera and press of a button
you will get to see moments like this one,
right after they have occurred.
(Now I know you are excited about that)
Let's just hope I can actaully follow through this time.

Spring is in the Air!

Spring brings...
the opportunity to operate large machinery
even when you are only 5 years old
(as long as Neighbor Dean continues to have bad judgement)

Although in his defense,
I think Orin did a great job for a novice.
The first flowers!
The first seeds.
Ilea's favorite are the radishes.
Everyday she would bee-line
for them at the store.
Maybe she just likes spice?
Morning bath routine.
It never gets old.
Off to Uncle Alex's wedding.
Catching up with the cousins in NC.
First time meeting Uncle Alex.
There they are!
A bride and a baby.
The first batch of chicks.
Ilea continues explorations with food:
Avocado + forehead = goof troop.
Baba's birthday.
No cake for Ilie.
Orin's last hockey practice for the season.
Yay, here comes summer!

Photo Dump

 Sorry, a lot has happened.
Here is the 30 second update:
We got the space for the store.
 It came with a baby.
The baby was cute,
so we decided to keep her.
We brought in shelving, lots of shelving.

We began receiving products.
Sometimes they were bright and pink and nice.

Sometimes they were wet, and heavy, and
it was very cold.

We worked a lot.

 We stocked some shelves:

We stocked some more shelves:

We stocked even more shelves:
We decorated.
We played airplane.
We went to lots of events,
met lots of people.
Hung up our beautifully designed sign,
(thank you Robbi!)
and opened NewFarm,
(the most awesome store in the universe)
On the home-front, we enjoyed the copious amount of snow:
 Became x-country ski experts:
And learned how to use the pan feature on our new iphones:
Some of us began cutting teeth.
While others made Valentines Day cards for friends:
We entered the Zone of Undeniable Curl:
Oh yes, this one has lift:
And learned it is pretty nice to have two homes:
More to come.
