The Bottle Mistake

The other day, we decided it was time to try to teach Orin to use a bottle
so that, if necessary, I could be away from him for more than 3 minutes
without a full-blown crisis.

We left Baby's R' Us loaded with new gear for the operation
 and feeling quite optimistic.
However, we quickly learned that there is
one fundamental problem with bottle feeding,
which is that this:
is not Booby.
It did not take Orin long to figure this out.
Everything went downhill from there.
It actually caused Orin to vanish altogether
and sparked the appearance of Ori's Evil Alter Ego, Mr. Brussels.
Mr. Brussels normally shows up around 10:30 and makes his presence known
in a very loud kind of way until about 2am.

But by the morning my lovely baby Ori is back
and everything returns to normal.

So I suppose the bottle will have to wait.
In other news, our friends from California visited the other day.

Orin slept the entire time,
as he often does when company is around
so that I am unable to conjure up any sympathy
when Mr. Brussels arrives.
But it was nice to have the quiet so we could chat.

And Jenn brought him a beautiful blanket which she knitted herself,
complete with his name in the middle.
Now they are off for new adventures in Canada,
and we are off to go try to get some sleep.

XOXOX

That is a funny looking bottle, you might try the one's that are indented so his lips are enclosed with the bottle to make it feel more like the booby, it seemed thats what the kids liked. I am glad you are trying to get him use to it, I know how good it is to be able to get away for a while or be able to pump and feed in case you are somewhere you can't nurse. You all look good and Katie, Steven, Ed and I can't wait to see all of you. I know Orin's Aunt and Uncle here in Oregon have missed out on alot not being able to fly and really can't wait to see him but they love him more than life just being able to see his pictures. They have them framed and out for show already. I Love you all and will see you on the 29th. Nana
